Out of all the things I envisioned myself doing, starting a blog was not on the list. I decided to start one because it was an assignment for one of my communication classes.

I was enjoying myself and I thought, “man, blogging isn’t as hard as I thought.” Though, I almost stopped because of the belief that no one would care what I had to say.

However, the more I thought about it, I actually became liberated because of that. If no one reads my blog then I don’t have to worry about any type of judgment and even when people start reading, am I doing this for me or for them?

Writing seems to be less labour-intensive compared to my other interests, so I should have no problem being consistent with this blog, right?… Right? But I’m going to use this blog to give a “behind-the-scenes” of all my future creative works.

I want to give a schedule as to when I will publish blogs but I don’t have the best track record when it comes to honouring personal deadlines.

I’ll give it another shot though, I will be committing to releasing a blog post twice a week: one on Wednesdays and one on Saturday.

To get started, below is a remix I made using the “i must apologize” by PinkPantheress. I used the DAW, “Reaper” for this creation.

I like the concept of layering lyrics further into the song on earlier portions of the blog (I don’t know if that makes sense).

I asked a few of my musically-inclined friends for feedback but in the meantime, I may create another one and put that into the next blog post but we shall see. Enjoy, and leave some constructive criticism so I can improve!
